Lolitas Candle Co is a sustainable, clean, vegan and environmentally friendly soy based and hand made candle making business that mixes the energy of art, fun design and delicious fragrance. At Lolita’s they believe Candle making is really an art that is meant to be experienced.
When we spoke, Karla was looking for product and social media photography that would help show her customers how they can experience her Fall and Winter scents at home and feel cozy. She wanted visuals that were homey and also exciting at the same time.
Challenges:
Lolitas Candles images showed what their products were, but not exactly how it would fit in customers’ homes & not one that represented their brand vibe for these collections. When we talked, Karla said she was going for something cozy, warm & also wanted to show how her candles fit in people’s homes.

Taking this into consideration, I tailored an approach that would match her branding and vision she had in mind.
I went in and asked a whole lot of questions before and during our work together, to understand her business more intimately.
After getting a sense of what she wanted, I created a few visual options for her to choose from. For her website, we created something minimal but hinting at cozy to offer a clearer look at her products. For her socials, we created something that said cozy, warm vibes in home settings; but also like a treat, to match her scents.
Results:
Since receiving the images and using them for her website, social media and marketing her collections sold phenomenally. She has since added new collections, grown her business to be able to open her own candle studio, vs making them from home. Not only does she sell her products on her website, but also expanded her sales at local stores in BC, across Canada and internationally in the US.
